Welcome To Bryan Station Baptist
Church's Website
Established in 1786

During Pastor Gormleys ministry we have organized 57 churches
throughout the world.
Brazil, Honduras, India, Philippines, and here in the states have New Testament Baptist Churches that are daughters of the Bryan Station Baptist Church. In the early years, Brother Al felt the Lord leading the church to start a printing ministry, beginning with the teachings of Brother C. D. Cole. It is a joint effort by many of our members.
Great doctrinal truths are printed and are used in churches and colleges throughout the
world. Numerous tracts, books by Brother Cole and Brother Boyce Taylor, and other
God-called men have been published. Worldwide distribution of our monthly paper, The
Pioneer Baptist, reaches thousands of people each month.

Brother Al Gormley has served our church as
pastor since July 8, 1962. He was born and reared just three miles from the
church on Briar Hill Road. He and his wife, Lorene, serve the church
faithfully; looking to the Lord for leadership. Brother Al has pastored
these many years, looking to God and His Word to lead him and this assembly
in the truth. During Pastor Gormleys ministry here at Bryan Station,
the church has had a radio/television ministry, tape/CD/DVD ministry, and a printing
ministry.
From Pastor Gormley: "I have been pastor of the Bryan
Station Baptist Church for over 45 years. The Lord has blessed His word
that has been taught. He has used the church to get the truth and the
gospel to a great part of the world; and to be able to organize churches.
The judgment seat of Christ will determine how we have pleased the Lord.
I have preached the truth and the people have followed. This is exactly
what the Lord said His people would do (John 10:27-29). The words of the
apostle Paul are my thoughts and feelings toward the flock that the Lord
has made me the overseer. I Thessalonians 2:11-13, As you know how we
exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his
children, That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his
kingdom and glory." |

Brother Don Waltermire, a member of Bryan Station for
over 14 years, surrendered to the call to the ministry on January 23,
2000. He had faithfully served for several years as a Sunday School
teacher and deacon. After prayerful consideration, on July 12, 2000, the
church voted to make Brother Don our assistant pastor. He and his wife,
Betty, are dedicated and work tirelessly for our church.
From Assistant Pastor
Waltermire: "II Chronicles 7:14, If my people, which are called by my
name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from
their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their
sin, and will heal their land. Psalm 126:5-6, They that sow in
tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing
precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his
sheaves with him. Matthew 28:19, Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of
the Holy Ghost. God's people still need to humble ourselves,
pray and seek His will for our lives. We still need to turn from
any and all wickedness in our lives. Then He will do His work through
us. We continually need to be sowing the precious Word of God and wait
upon the Lord for His harvest."

| THIS WE BELIEVE... |
|
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God
without error as originally written. We believe in the Genesis account of creation and the
fall of man. We believe in total depravity. We believe all are lost unless born again. We
believe that we are saved by grace through faith and without works on the part of man. We
believe that repentance and faith are inseparable graces and that all who do not repent
and believe are lost. We believe in the security of the believer. We believe faith without
works is dead. We believe all who have repented and believed should confess the Lord and
follow Him in baptism and begin to seek to do His will. We believe that Jesus Christ
organized a church while here on earth during His personal ministry (before Pentecost),
and that He gave that church a commission. Matthew 28:19, 20. We believe that there are
two church ordinances; Baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe that the church is local,
visible, and that she has the Bible for her one and only and all-sufficient rule of faith
and practice. We believe that the way to finance the Lord's work is by tithes and
offerings. We believe that all churches should be missionary. We believe in the
premillenial second coming of Christ. We believe that Heaven is a real place and that Hell
is a real place. We believe in the Trinity of God, and that the Devil is a person, and
that there will be two resurrections, one of the just and one of the unjust. |
DO YOU KNOW?
1. That all men are sinners both by birth and
choice? "We are by nature the children of wrath," Ephesians 2:3. "All have
sinned and come short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23.
2. That everyone needs a new birth? "Jesus answered--except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God," John 3:3.
3. That God loves sinners? "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He
loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins," I John 4:10.
4. That Christ died in the place of sinners and for their sins? "How that Christ
died for our sins," I Corinthians 15:3; "Who His own self bare our sins in His
own body," I Peter 2:24.
5. That salvation is a gift of God? "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of
God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord," Romans 6:23; "For ye are
saved through faith--the gift of God," Ephesians 2:8.
6. That you are not saved by good works? "Not by works of righteousness which we
have done but according to His mercy He saved us," Titus 3:5.
7. That there is only one door or one way to heaven? "I (Jesus Christ who is God
in flesh) am the door," John 10:9; "I am the Way," John 14:6.
8. That we became children of God by receiving Christ as Savior and Lord? "As many
as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God," John 1:12.
9. That you should seek God immediately? "Behold now is the accepted time,"
II Corinthians 6:2.
10. That if you receive Jesus as Savior, God will never again charge you with sin that
would condemn you? "Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin,"
Romans 4:7-8; "The believer hath everlasting life and shall not come into
condemnation (or judgment)," John 5:24.
God's two conditions of salvation are repentance and faith.
1. "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish," Luke 13:3.
2. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved," Acts 6:31. See
also Acts 20:21.
If you have received Him and have become a child of God, please let us know, that we
may rejoice with you and give you other literature to help your Christian walk.
