Missionary Report February 2008

Dear Elected brethren in the Lord Jesus Christ,

This has been a challenging month with different afflictions.  Our son Ivan was sick for a week; he complained of constant headache and some other things.  The Doctor told us that the result of the lab analysis showed he has contracted typhoid fever.  He is under medication and doing much better now.  Please pray for our sons (Edgar and Ivan), that the Lord may watch not only for their physical but also spiritual health.  May He help and encourage us to do the work we have in front of us.

As I type this letter, we are in Victoria City trying to organize the things that we brought from the border.  We just move some of our stuff from Matamoros to Victoria.  I have already visited another area and our plan is to be here for at least couple weeks so that we can continue visiting some other neighborhoods here in the City.  I am deeply moved with the need for the gospel that I see down here.  Pray with us that the Lord may guide us here as we move forward to work with some families.  Also, please keep us in your prayers as we finalized our residence change to the City of Victoria.

Following, I would like to provide an update, and ask for your continual prayers in the needs we have been sharing with you:

Housing

We have decided that whatever improvements need to be done to the house, we will do that once that we move into it.  In this way we should be able to accelerate our residence change.  I will keep you posted until our residence change is complete.  Please keep praying for this.

Vehicle for the Ministry

As we have previously reported, I worked with a Mexican dealer and got an improved price on a Ford F-150 pick up truck, the vehicle has been ordered.  We will report on this during this week through brother Monte.

Kids School

Kids will miss school this week since we are in Victoria right now.  They will continue attending school regularly.  Please keep praying for our kids, and ask the Lord to give us grace and wisdom.

Thank you for your prayers for our family and the work down here.
