Missionary Report
January 2008
Dear fellow laborers in the Lord Jesus Christ,
This
month passed by so quickly but we are thankful that a lot of progress was made
in all the different activities we have.
We have identified a couple areas in Victoria that we feel guided to start
visiting and sharing the message of the gospel.
Pray with us that the Lord may prepare the hearts and the families we
will work with. Also, please keep us in
your prayers as we finalized our residence change to the City of Victoria.
Following,
I would like to provide an update, and ask for your continual prayers in the
needs we have been sharing with you:
Housing
We
are now the official owners of a house in the city of Victoria, Tamaulipas. We also got access to the house by the first
time. We did identify several needed
improvements in the house but we will start moving some of our personal
belongings to the house shortly. We are
very thankful with the Lord that this event happened in a successful and timely
manner. Once again, thank you very much
for your prayers in this subject.
Vehicle
for the Ministry
We
confirmed that the vehicle funds are now available in our working account. I did go to the Toyota
dealer in Brownsville, TX but they did not have a vehicle with the
same characteristics and options like the one that was quoted. They told me it was going to take a week or
so to get another one. They also
communicated to me that the vehicle was quoted incorrectly; they thought it was
going to be registered in Texas before being
imported into Mexico. The price difference is $2000 dollars. I continue working with the dealer and
checking some other options with other dealers (including Mexican dealers). I received information from a Toyota Mexican
dealer representative, that the Toyota Tundra will be available for sale in Mexico
by the first week of March. They do not
know the cost yet, but might be worth it to wait 2-3 more weeks to have
that information. I personally do not
like the fact of wasting some money paying importation taxes on the
vehicle. I want to be as wise as
possible using the money. Please pray
the Lord to give me wisdom on this. I
will communicate later on this subject through bro. Monte.
Kids School
As of today, the kids keep attending school regularly. We have not made a decision on weather they
will complete this scholar year or not.
Please keep praying for our kids, and ask the Lord to give us grace and
wisdom.
Thank you for your prayers for my family and the work
down here.
