Dear Brethren in the Lord:
"He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the
ends of the earth." (Psalm 72: 8) "And he shall stand and feed in the
strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God; and
they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth."
(Micah 5: 4)
Based on their last report, the brethren mentioned that on March 20 - 21,
2008, the church in Maybunga initiated the move to distribute tracts and
to visit the families of Hazel Villalba, Jeff, Aling Leila, Mang Dencio,
Nanay Ana, Jonalyn and Yanyan in Sitio Antonio Abad and Dr. Sixto Antonio
Avenue area. Michael, Amy, Aling Marlinne, Nanay Martha, Rizza, Benjo,
Emil, Mauro, Lea, Marites, Marlon, Manilyn, Aling Belen, Rodilyn and
Monmon are the church visitors who occasionally come to Maybunga for the
Sunday worship.
Last Wednesday, the brethren from Mahinhin were on their toes to bring
God’s Word to Zeny’s family in Sitio Mahinhin. They’ve been holding Bible
study to this group every week for about two months now. But this time to
their dismay, Aling Zeny suddenly became unconcerned and indifferent.
She gave the brethren a hard cold treatment and was apathetic to them.
"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not
return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it
shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." (Isaiah 55: 11) The study
of the Word at Floodway-Taytay gets going every Monday, 3:30 in the
afternoon. Jomar and Jovilyn were the only ones present. Ka Juana and the
rest of the family were still out working. Mang Arman del Rosario remains
committed in attending the Bible teaching every Tuesday at Poblacion
Dolores, Taytay. Last week, the topic on scriptural baptism was
substantially explained to him. This brother claims that he has already
received the promise of Eternal Life in and through our Lord Jesus
Christ.
The Bible study remains running every week at the following places:
Jenny’s compound with the family of Bobong and Rowena; in San Carlos with
Mang Fred, Lita, Arman, Aljun, Maryjane and Justin; Ligao with Sister
Julie, Sister Helen and Bro. Anto; Bulihan, Silang every Saturday
afternoon with some families and students; at Cabuyao with the Alabanza
siblings; and, in GMA every Wednesday with Mikmik, Ana, Jenny and Paulo
Marquez.
We thank the Lord for the brethren at Grace Baptist Church in Mt.Vernon,
Georgetown, KY; South Irvine Baptist Church, Irvine, KY; Bryan Station
Baptist Church, Lexington, KY; Ocoonita Missionary Baptist Church in
Jonesville, VA; and, the other brethren from the Lord’s Churches of like
faith and order, for your continued financial support and most especially
for your faithful prayers in our behalf and the Lord’s work. May we grow
stronger in God’s grace as we wait for His soon return. "Looking for that
blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour
Jesus Christ;" (Titus 2:13)
In His glorious service,
Bro. Ed Quetua
