Greetings my brothers and sisters in Christ,

The days come and go so quickly, and we are that much closer to the coming of our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  We all know that it’s closer than when Paul said they were waiting for His coming.  Look up, He is coming soon, this is the blessed hope we all have.

Since the first of January we have been driving back and forth to Jesus de Otoro twice a week to preach and teach as previously reported we would do.  We found a house that will be available for rent in February for 1200 lempiras a month (about $63), so that we will not have to pay motel bills or drive back at night to our home in San Pedro Sula, when we go there for services.  It is a simple two bedroom adobe house with a small bathroom inside, a small living room, Honduran style kitchen without cabinets or appliances, and tile roof with no ceiling).  There is electricity and running water.  It is two houses away from the meeting house, which will make it very convenient for us.

The Lord has blessed in the work there, with an average of about 30 souls in attendance.  There are two young couples which want to be baptized, as well as some single women.  One thing that I desire all of you to pray about is a better place for the mission to meet in.  The rented building is in poor shape and needs to be torn down and replaced.  The other places which have been available are too small for our group of people.  We have a piece of land which Bro. Bautista said we could use to put up a temporary building for the assembly, and that he would buy it back within six months to a year.  The money would not be lost, and could be put to the use of a permanent building.  The need would be five thousand dollars.  If any church would like to help in this need it would be very much appreciated.

Two weeks ago, the Sovereign God Baptist Church voted to invite Bro. Roberto Manzanares to come in view of a call to pastor, but as of yet he has not responded.  The 20th – 22nd of March the sister churches will have a men’s conference here in San Pedro Sula.  It is being planned by Brothers Leví Ríos and Roberto Manzanares.

One of our faithful ladies, Donatila Fúnez, is apparently on her deathbed.  She had lost her appetite a week ago, and has been asleep for a couple days now.  Please remember her and her family in your prayers.  The Lord has blessed this church with some new visitors this past month, and also others who used to attend, but had not been coming lately.  Please pray for this church, that with God’s help, they will continue to be a lighthouse for the truth.

Thanks so much for all your prayers for us and the work down here.  Thanks for your faithful support, cards, letters, and special love offerings.  These gifts are very, very much appreciated.  The Lord knows our needs and wants, even before we ask Him.  Your love for mission work and missionaries is so very obvious.  We thank the Lord for His faithful care and protection, as well.

With our love in Christ to all of you, Ted Tweet
