Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Once again, another month has come and gone and we are still waiting.  The Lord has made promises to us and He will fulfill them in His time.  Our Lord leads us to look at the signs of the times and continue to wait for His return and live normal full lives until He does come for us.  He also promises to supply our needs, even though sometimes our faith diminishes and we fail the Lord for not trusting His Word.  He will supply our needs in His time, and our wait for His return will be worth it all, when we awake in His presence.

During this past month, we had a wonderful men’s conference.  There were fifty-three men registered.  What a blessing it was for all of us!  The themes were: (1) The Man's Role in the Home as Husband and Father, (2) The Man's Role in the Home as Spiritual Leader, (3) The Formation of Ministers, (4) The Call to the Ministry, and (5) The Man's Role in the Church.  The men were very excited with the themes which were tailored for them. The results hopefully will be long reaching.  Two men said that they had a desire to preach the Word of God and three others have begun extra studies with their pastor to learn more.  We have been praying, as well as many of you, that God will call men to preach here in Honduras, as well as other places in this world.  We thank the Lord for His direction in His churches, and request your prayers for those who are preparing themselves for the ministry.

Sylvia and I traveled to La Ceiba, Rio Esteban, Balfate, Lis Lis, and then to the mission work in Limeras, where I had been asked to preach in an area-wide service.  The father of one of the members passed away, so there was a change in the plans and we went to hold a funeral service.  I prayed for guidance, and the Lord gave me the grace and liberty to preach to a group of about 200 people.  A lot of lost people were present, so I preached on the grace of God, the gospel, and the rich man and Lazarus; trusting that the Lord will use His Word to His honor and glory.  The man who passed away had made a death-bed confession of faith as Brother Tacho witnessed to him.  The Lord only knows for sure.

We sent Pastor Ron Crisp’s book on the Holy Spirit to the printer to do one hundred copies. They turned out very well and only cost $2.60 per copy.  Sylvia and I went to help assemble them.  Just let us know if you could use a copy in Spanish, or would like to help pay for these.  The title is, Guía de Estudio Sobre La Persona y Obra Del Espíritu Santo, and it can be found on the internet at www.firstbaptistchurchindependence.org

We praise the Lord for Sis. Marta Amaya de Navarro, who followed the Lord in scriptural baptism and is now a member of Sovereign God Baptist Church.  She has three children and a husband who need to be saved, so remember her as she lives before them.  She is a school teacher and the principal of her school.

I want to thank each of you for your prayers for this missionary and the work; also for the cards, letters, and love gifts which are always received with appreciation.

Your brother in Christ, Ted Tweet
