Dear Friends in
Christ,
Greetings once
again in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is so
wonderful to think of His abounding grace to each of His children and the way
in which He cares for us and even supplies our needs before we ask. He is
so good to us, and then we think of what he has been preparing for us; it
causes us to rejoice and gives us the confidence that it will be worth it all
when we see Him face to face in all His glory. In His Word we read that
we are forgiven by Him and that His blood cleanses us from all iniquity.
I am writing
this letter from Lexington,
KY this time. We were
blessed to be able to be with our daughter and son-in-law, the Colleys for
about one week in Dothan, AL. It was a joy to be able to play
with my three grandsons during this visit. They are lots of fun to be
with. The oldest two and I threw the football, played basketball, and
catch with the baseball - a first for us. It was a great time. We
have missed a lot of these times with the seven grandchildren. Here in Lexington, we were blessed to be in the Bryan Station
Baptist Church’s
conference, and what a wonderful time with the people of God, just a fore-taste
of heaven, enjoying the saints of God in harmony. Next, we will fly to Seattle to be with my family for a short visit of two
weeks, and then go to Paducah, KY
to be with the saints at Faith
Missionary Baptist
Church for their
Thanksgiving Conference. The next week, we plan to fly to Brownsville, Texas
and meet up with Bro. Enrique Cantú and his family. They will drive us to
Ciudad Victoria
to be with his brother, Pastor Marco Antonio Cantú, and the Iglesia Bautista
Berea for a five-day revival meeting. The good Lord willing, we will
return back to Honduras
on the fifth of December.
One of the main
reasons we came to Lexington
was for the check up of my dear wife Sylvia. We found out that the
pace-maker has only one and a half years left of battery power so she will have
to come back in six months to see if it is still depleting at the same rate and
if so, they will have to replace it next year.
Our call and
e-mails to Honduras
have been with the good news that all is well. The services have been
well attended and the preachers have kept up their promises to supply for
me. We still beg of each of you to be praying that the Lord would call
men into His ministry, laying all aside to serve the Lord.
Thanks so much
for your prayers for us and the work of the Lord. He has been so good to
us. Thanks again and may the richest blessings from our Father be
showered upon you. Serve the Lord with joy and happiness.
Your brother in
Christ, Ted Tweet
